About this course

Using Microsoft’s Makecode Arcade platform, learn to create your own retro game like Mario or Pokemon! Design and create your own characters using drag and drop programming. Play and learn as we dive into the basics of computational logic and game design.

What to bring

All you need is a computer or laptop with a microphone and webcam. With simple set up instructions and minimal software requirements, we’ll make sure that you are set up ready to go before your first class starts.

Nothing except your creativity! You are welcome to also bring your own laptop along, and we can help you set it up.

How to participate

Through specialised video conferencing software and small class sizes, we’ll make sure your child’s questions always get answered with instructors being able to see your child progress through screen sharing and 1-on-1 assistance in breakout rooms, so it’s not that different from being in a physical classroom!

After school has finished, students should proceed to the computer room and wait outside. Please do not enter the room until one of our mentors has opened the doors.

After the class has concluded, please pick up your child from the computer room or your school's designated pickup area.
